Before you can start your quality circle you must specify some basic information including the reagent, supplier and lotnumbers, runcontrol, supplier and lotnumber and laboratory instrument and serial number used. First of all you have to order a new data entry template and data entry key's. You can do this by searching (key values are test and supplier) the catalogue database for the correct template, select it and order it. You order also the data entry key's from the catalogue (for a bloodbank in a development country free of any charges). The template and data entry key's will be delivered to you within 24 hours. As a second step you make this template the current template by selecting it from the list/view and you confirm the selection. As a third step you update the template with the basic information like reagent and lot etc. You do this by searching the co-factor database for the occurrence of the item. You share the co-factor database with all other users of your group. In case the item exist you select the item and assign the value to the data entry template else you create a new item in the cofactor database and select the item and assign the value to the data entry template. As a result the shared co-factor database contains all the used reagent's including the lot numbers and all used runcontrol's including the lotnumbers and all instruments used including the serial numbers.
